Coconut Water Powder

Coconut Powder is a delicious superfood powder made from fresh coconut milk that helps provide the foundation of our electrolyte ratio. Coconut Water Powder is a great source of potassium and is packed with vitamins, iron, calcium and magnesium. We added it to our formula to naturally sweeten and help ensure rapid absorption of electrolytes within the bloodstream.

Ginger Root

Ginger Root - Ginger is a root spice adaptogen, commonly used to help aid digestion and relieve inflammation. Ginger is loaded with antioxidants and compounds that help prevent stress and damage to your body’s DNA. If you are skeptical, search Ginger root benefits. It’s something we could all use a bit more of.

Ginseng Root

Ginseng is a short, slow-growing plant with fleshy roots. This slightly warm and sweet root is an adaptogen and immune tonic. It is believed to also restore and enhance general well being, strengthening Chi or "what gives life". Ginseng can help regulate blood sugar, soothe inflammation, and do as adaptogens do: provide anxiety support. This is a great root for Type A, the work hard, play hard mentality.

Shiitake Mushroom

Shiitake Mushroom - Shiitake is not just another trendy ingredient. The numerous benefits it offers is something we couldn’t say no to when we created our drink. Shiitake contains all 8 essential amino acids, boosts energy and helps with brain fog and mental clarity. Amongst many other benefits, it helps the body absorb calcium, one of 6 electrolytes in Sap’s.

L-Glutamine

L-Glutamine - Typically found in wheat, peanuts, and milk, Glutamine is essential for making proteins for muscle tissue. Its’ benefits around muscle recovery have led it to become known as the athlete supplement. Last, but not least, Glutamine helps detoxify the liver when you need it most. *Not to worry, this amino acid has nothing to do with Gluten.

Glycine

Glycine - The most abundant amino acid in collagen, Glycine is essential for growth of tissue and making hormones. Most importantly, it protects your body against muscle loss and helps protect your liver from alcohol damage.

Glucuronolactone

Glucuronolactone - Glucuronolactone is a naturally occurring metabolite found in almost all connective tissues of the human body. It helps fight mental and physical fatigue and reduces brain fog, and helps reduce inflammation in the liver.

Its’ benefits around muscle recovery have led it to become known as the athlete supplement. Vitamin B-9 (Folate)

Vitamin B-9 (Folate) - Folate is a water-soluble B vitamin. It plays an essential role in cellular energy production, elimination, neurological health, growth and general well-being.

Vitamin B-3 (Niacin)

Mostly known as a treatment for maintaining cholesterol levels, Niacin also helps promote healthy brain functioning.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is one of the most versatile vitamins. It has the ability to support immune health and nutrient absorption while aiding recovery.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is vital for breaking down protein into amino acids, which are the building blocks of DNA. B6 is also essential for hemoglobin production, cardiovascular health, serotonin and dopamine development.

Vitamin D

Yes, Vitamin D is best absorbed from the sun, but no matter how much time you spend outside, we could all use more of it. Without enough of it, your nerves, muscles, and immune system don’t function properly.

Monk fruit

Monk fruit is all natural and the only sweetener we use. It’s technically a super food and has been used for centuries in Asia as an antidote for all kinds of things. Most importantly, it’s one of the few sweeteners that doesn’t boost glycemic levels (aka safe for everyone to consume).

Sodium

Sodium is an underrated and often misunderstood mineral. While salt from processed foods can be problematic, sodium itself is vital for health and hydration. When you feel the worst symptoms of dehydration, salt is essential for bringing you back to a better place. The amount in Sap’s was inspired by the work of Andy Galpin and Dr. Andrew Huberman. Sap’s contains just the right amount of Salt for optimal hydration recovery after 30 - 60 minutes of hard physical activity.

Potassium

Potassium is one of the most important electrolytes that has a mutually beneficial relationship with sodium. Sap’s ratio of sodium and potassium creates the optimal relationship necessary to maintain proper balance within your cells. Other drinks with a high concentration of potassium and no sodium aren’t doing you any favors.

Magnesium

Magnesium comes with a long list of benefits including helping deal with muscle cramps, regulating blood pressure, and lifting your mood. However, it also has a symbiotic relationship with Calcium that Sap’s takes advantage of. While calcium is needed for muscle contraction, magnesium is needed for muscle relaxation. That’s the kind of balance and harmony we all could use a bit more of.

Calcium

Calcium is an important electrolyte that does more than just help maintain strong bones and teeth. Our bodies use calcium constantly, ranging from the maintenance of proper heart and nervous system function to hormonal and brain function.

Chloride

Together with sodium and potassium, chloride is responsible for fluid and acid-base (pH) balance in your body. As such, it’s crucial for normal cell functioning.

Zinc

Zinc is famous for immune benefits, but not many people know it as an electrolyte. It’s necessary for the activity of over 300 enzymes that keep your body healthy and strong.
